As a Project Sourcing Intern, you will be part of our procurement team, focusing on the sourcing and procurement aspects of various engineering projects within the industrial sector. You will gain hands-on experience in understanding and executing the end-to-end process of sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Identify project-specific sourcing requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify and assess potential suppliers.
- Assist in negotiating favourable terms and agreements with potential supplier to optimize cost-effectiveness.
- Track and manage project-related procurement activities to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand project specifications in order to align sourcing strategies.
- Assist in supplier evaluations and audits.
Basic Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Office-based, may be required to visit suppliers (accompanied by internship supervisor).
Key Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel including VLOOKUP & PivotTable, Outlook, Teams).
- Detail oriented, effective communication and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Ownership mindset.
