Insignia Academy is Southeast Asia's first experiential Venture Capital 'VC' accelerator to nurture the next generation of leaders, investors and entrepreneurs. Led by world-class VC and industry leaders, our 12-week immersive program is designed for aspiring venture capitalists, investors, fund managers, and ambitious founders where individuals will get to participate in investment committee meetings and invest in real-life businesses.
Individuals looking to break into VC will be given the opportunity to gain high quality investment experience through deal sourcing, conducting due diligence, navigating capital structure, participating in weekly investment committees, making 1-2 investments, and sharing in the financial upside on select deals with Insignia Ventures Partners.
Insignia Academy’s VC partner, Insignia Ventures Partners is an early stage technology $470M venture fund focusing on Southeast Asia and manages capital from premier institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, foundations, university endowments and renowned family offices from Asia, Europe and North America. Investments are $100K-$10M per company, and up to $30M in follow-on rounds.
The Program Intern's role would focus on working with the Program Manager with the ultimate goal of delivering successful programmes and initiatives.
While some relevant experience is preferred, it is not required.
About the role
The role of the Program Intern include supporting the accelerator program end-to-end and has many aspects. Not all can be listed, but to give a rough idea of the role, here are some of the things that you will do:
- Work with the Program Manager to plan and execute on events and activities
- Assist in market research activities and unearth insights that can be turned into strategic direction and action
- Monitor, identify and implement best practices, new tools and methods
- Assist to deliver the best possible experience to cohort members
- Assist with the sourcing, management and relationship building
- Source for seed stage startups and strategic partners
- Assist in improving operational efficiency
