The Mailroom Specialist is a member of a team responsible for service delivery through efficient mailroom operations at an Iron Mountain customer site. It is paramount for the Mailroom Specialist to be able to provide a balance between efficiency and cost consciousness while delighting the customer by exceeding expectations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a great service and build strong trusted relationships with client
- Deliver a range of mail services and support to the client with minimal or no supervision
- Sort, distribute and collect mails, internal and external
- Process both domestic and international couriers
- Fill relevant details in distribution and shipping forms, providing accurate information to ensure that mails are delivered to the right locations and people.
- Deliver internal and external tracked items
- Adhere to mail delivery run schedules
- Processing of unknown / ambiguous mail
- Support ad-hoc document fulfilment project
- Assist front counter desk for walk in clients
- Handle mail related phone enquiries
- Ad-hoc internal and external deliveries and pick-ups as required
- Liaise with external mail vendors for collection / delivery arrangements
- Ensure daily record keeping functions are completed and reporting information is maintained
- Collaborate with the team to problem solve to ensure efficient service delivery to meet client's needs
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
- All other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-year experience in mailroom, courier service, logistics industry (applicants without experience will be considered for entry-level position)
- Willing to be deployed across different sites on short notice
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proven record working in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment with little to no errors
- Absolute team player, and look to enjoy working with a close-knit team
- Attention to detail, responsible and organized
- Basic computer literacy skills in MS Excel and Word
