Job Description

Traineeship Description:

 This position reports to Warehouse Manager in Parts Department that manages a supply of automotive parts in the region. We believe in growing individuals who will lead the growth of our department – reflected through availability of both in-house and external trainings related to improving our operations ultimately. Exposure to a wider spectrum of supply chain is promised as the department also ensures sustainable growth for business continuity through assigning members with multi-tasking roles in which one will concurrently be a secondary person in charge for another role. The department practices open communications and encourages submissions of bottom-up proposals on continuous improvements in any aspect as one of our KPIs indicated in the bi-annual appraisals which are conducted in S.M.A.R.T measures. Staff’s work-life balance is monitored and well maintained through approval requirement in advance for all overtime works.

 Specific Responsibilities:

 1. New employee orientation and phased OJT by topics/tasks guided by an assigned mentor and the progress will be managed by a direct superior.

 2. Managing & reporting of overall logistics processing of Inbound, Outbound, Shipping Term, Billing Invoices, Data maintenance in systems. This process also requires good communication skills with various groups (Liners, 3PL, Supplier, Customers) from different regions to ensure a smooth and continuous support in overall logistics sections.

 3. Internal & external communication skills.

 4. Company-wide committee facilitation and participation.

 6. Provide direct support to employees during implementation of HR services, policies and programmes.

 Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme:

 1. Overall Logistics Experiences from Seller’s Door to Buyer’s Door via various mode (Air / Sea / Road / Warehousing)

 2. Proficiency in SAP & WMS (Inbound and Outbound Processes).

 3. Be more confident in dealing with urgent situation with customer/ supplier in logistics and delivery (Just in time delivery)

 4. Be able to consider macroscopic factors when addressing a specific issue that may only affect one section in the supply chain.

 5. Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (especially formulas and formatting) and Powerpoint.

 6. Be skilled in communication, presentation and negotiation.

 7. Become more analytical & logistics cost analysis

 8. Be more focused on Continuous Improvements in career.

 Education Qualifications Required for the Traineeship Role: Polytechnic Diploma

 Duration of Traineeship Offered: 12 months

 Eligibility Criteria for SGUnited Traineeships:

 ・Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and

 a. Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or

 b. Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020
