Job Summary:
As the SOX Compliance Specialist, you will be a key member of the Kaplan International SOX team. The role will involve coordinating the Kaplan Singapore SOX reporting, performing quarterly SOX management testing, remediating deficiencies, updating control activities and their design and periodic reporting of results to International SOX management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating SOX reporting for Kaplan Singapore (ensuring timely completion of reporting responsibilities):
- Completion of SOX testing and reporting (quarterly, annual and ad hoc)
- Providing support to the international SOX teams
- Performing Entity Level Controls (ELCs) testing
- Assisting with documentation, testing, periodic updates and remediating deficiencies in the international businesses
- Identifying risks, design, redesign and implementation of existing compliance measures
- Ad hoc projects – Fixed asset tracking; Segregation of duties testing; Implementing controls for changes in business scope
Requirements
- Technically competent (ideally US GAAP) with proven ability to identify misstatements
- Significant audit experience (SOX experience desired but not essential) with knowledge of compliance and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong persuasive skills and ability to influence all levels

- Strong presentation skills

- Planning and organisation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Ability to speak and write in fluent English
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Qualified accountant or Internal Auditor

Working hour ~ Monday - Friday ~ 9am - 6pm
