Description:
Kerry Consulting is currently hiring an ETL Engineer to work on projects for a financial services domain. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Testing methodologies, concepts, phases, and types of testing. You will be involved with the development of test plans, scenarios, cases, procedures, and the documentation of test results accordingly after analysing Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS).
Responsibilities:
This role will require robust knowledge and understanding in ETL, Hadoop ecosystem – Map Reduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie and Sqoop. You will be proficient in writing complex SQL Queries to check the integrity of data to perform database testing. Your responsibilities will include Data Analysis, Data Validation, Data Cleansing, Data Verification and identifying data mismatch.
This role will require strong experience in writing Hive Queries for analysing data in Hive warehouse using Hive Query Language (HQL) and experience in UNIX commands and Shell Scripting. You should have understanding of Data Models, Data Schema, ETL and creating extensive store procedures SQL queries to perform back-end data warehousing testing.
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum Degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field with at least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in interacting with clients, business analysts, leads and UAT users is advantageous
- Experience in Big Data Technology: HDFS, Hive, Pig, HBase, Sqoop, Oozie, Zookeeper and Cassandra is a must
