Job Responsibilities

• thrive on keeping the kitchen clean, tide, safe and hygienic; taking the initiative to make sure you take action before issues prevent delivering service
• ensure all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are kept washed and stored in the correct areas to support the brigade with slick service
• support with deliveries into the kitchen and unloading in a timely manner as well as adhering to stock rotation principles
• ensure all storage areas in the kitchen are kept tidy and organised
• maintain the kitchen environment by disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces as well as walls and floors after service as well as taking action to spills that happen during service
• ensure all bins (recycling and non-recycling) are emptied and disposed of appropriately
• can carry out basic food preparation as directed by the Head Chef

Requirements

• Efficient – you are able to carry out tasks quickly and without the need for direction
• You will use your initiative to get tasks done that will make the kitchen run smoothly
• Calm when the kitchen is under pressure
• Able to follow instructions
• Proud of your work place and a strong team member
