The role:
The Account Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day project management of the accounts that the incumbent is holding. The person would oversee the activities of the team.
The Account Manager will receive and work on new briefs and build a strong relationship with the client & stakeholders. The incumbent is required to grow, secure more budgets and retain the account year on year.
Following the processes set out is vital and the incumbent will be managing the campaign budgets to ensure that it is profitable.
Job Responsibilities
Client Engagement and Relationships:
This is a client-facing role and you are required to develop relationships with key accounts & regional customer stakeholders.
You will secure bigger budgets, manage, grow, retain and renew key business accounts
Project Management:
Concept and Strategy Planning to unleash your creative juices to achieve brand storytelling and business objectives
Support in new pitches with new clients
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of Kobe’s solutions according to business needs and objectives
In times of crisis, you will be able to manage and resolve problems in a snap.
You are to prepare, analyse and identify learning opportunities in client reports
Team Management:
You will assist to manage junior executives both locally and regionally by grooming and supporting their growth.
Work alongside the business development team to identify and grow opportunities within the territory
You will work alongside the Account Director and content and creative team with campaign execution
Finance Management & Processes:
You are to ensure the deliverables are in accordance with the processes.
Part of the role focuses on forecasting and tracking key account metrics
Ensure that the team completes billing and reconciliation of campaign revenues & COGS within a set time frame and accurately so that suppliers are paid and clients are invoiced on time.
Requirements
You absolutely love social media and the digital marketing industry
Minimum 2- 3 years of experience mainly in Account Management in Agency setting
Well-organized, detail-oriented, digitally and socially-savvy
Great team player, proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative
The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly, while maintaining attention to detail
People skills (critical thinking, mediating through issues, negotiation)
Self-motivated and takes pride in your own personal growth and development
