Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and driven DEI Trainee Intern to support our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives . This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting DEI programs in a multicultural business environment .

 

Position Overview

The DEI Trainee Intern will work closely with global and regional DEI team to drive programs and initiatives that foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and analyzing DEI best practices and trends across the world
  • Monitor and report on regulatory practices and updates related to DEI in all countries
  • Support the development and promotion of DEI training programs tailored to Konecranes cultural nuances and aligned with global initiatives
  • Collaborate with local HR and employee resource groups to identify and address diversity and inclusion gaps
  • Help organize cultural celebration events, speaker series, and other DEI-focused activities
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, note-taking, and presentation preparation
  • Gather feedback and data to measure the impact of DEI initiatives
  • Support the creation of internal communications to promote DEI initiatives
  • Support diversity initiatives as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Currently in a university program related to human resources, organizational behavior, social sciences, or a relevant field
  • Could work 15-16 hour per week with 6months commitment
  • Strong interest and some prior exposure to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Proficiency in utilizing power point and other communication tools to support DEI campaigns, acting in social network, etc.
  • Excellent research and analysis skills
  • Familiarity with the cultural nuances and business landscape
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
