OVERVIEW:
The candidate will work with the Head of Operations, Wang Cafe BU to be the key liaison Halal Roving officer with MUIS Singapore (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura or Islamic Religious Council of Singapore) on a) inspection and renewal of Halal Certification; b) update and maintain Halal files for all Halal certified outlets, & c) conduct audit checks in all Heavenly Wang outlets on a monthly basis. In addition, the incumbent is required to extend service support in F&B Operations.
The ideal candidate has a take-chare personality for managing Halal SOP, application, inspection & certification that are compliant with MUIS Singapore, a talent for getting things done and a customer-first attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Lead in Halal application and renewal
- Assist in maintenance of Halal folders and certificates
- Liaising with Halal Authority on inspection and renewal of Halal Certification
- Plan and execute audit schedules
- Prepare audit and investigation reports of findings and observations that identify, in detail, areas of non-compliance and risk areas for non-compliance
- Review and investigate raised issues related to Halal Compliance received through regulatory agencies, internal departments and business partners
- Updating and maintenance of Halal certification documentations on a timely basis
- Assist in performing product or food quality check & adherence
- Conduct check and compliance to the hygiene, health and food safety standards as expected and directed by the Company
- Assist in process improvements pertaining to food safety compliance.
- Ensure operational activities are according to prescribed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and work instructions
- Assist in follow-up of pre-checking and post-checking of inventory items
- Support & participate in outlet business operation, where assigned (Example: helping to clear staff AL, cover Service Crew on medical absence)
- Administrative task: Must be able to do Scheduling

- Administrative task: Must be able to do ordering
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Candidate must attain at least G.C.E “O” Level or Completed Secondary School Qualification;
- Entry level candidates with background in Food Science, Quality or Singapore MUIS Halal Quality Management System (HalMQ) certified are welcome to apply
Other Preferred Competencies:
- Audit experience in (HACCP, ISO22000, AVA) is an advantage but not required
- Required to travel from store-to-store frequently
- Required to work on off-office hours as and when required
- Good know-how in operating mobile digital devices (eg Grabfood, Foodpanda delivery devices)
