Job Description
REPORTS TO:
Community Lead
HERE'S WHAT YOU'll DO & WHAT KRASIA IS LOOKING FOR:
Our community team is looking for a Community Translator intern to help translate and rewrite pieces from Chinese to English. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic and willing to think outside the box. You'll get to translate various pieces of content, from long forms, q&a pieces, and interviews. In addition, you will help with transcription of interviews and repackaging of content on our newer platform, Oasis by KrASIA.
Who We're Looking For:
- Someone proactive, not reactive
- A reliable and communicative colleague - the community team works closely to ensure our processes are streamlined
- Thinks critically and write/edit timely and accurately
- Must be familiar or interested in Asia's tech scene. Industries covered include, and are not limited to, e-commerce, electric vehicles, startups, and co-sharing economy
Qualification/Requirements
- A must: strong command of English and Chinese (Mandarin)
- Demonstrate strong interests and curiosity in the tech industry
- Comfortable translating or writing quickly and accurately for same-day publication
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
