We are launching a new app, Lingosnap! Lingosnap app empowers you to learn languages through photos of your most meaningful experiences. With each moment, we incorporate relevant words, grammar, and concise lessons tailored to your unique journey.
About the Role
In Lalia, the Product Design Executive champions the rights of the users on our platform, and communicate these ideas to the engineering team. He/she is also responsible for conceptualising, strategising and designing new features and platform elements, which includes typography, colour, website components and UIUX. The ideal candidate will be one who is equipped with a broad knowledge of design thinking methodology, design principles and product management, and should also be able to drive initiatives together with our founders to make a meaningful impact on the platform and its users.
You would be a good fit if you can/are:
- Work together with the engineering and business team to create initiatives to improve customer’s experiences
- Moderate user tests, gather user insights, propose design requirements, design (new) features and develop implementations with software developers
- Manage initiatives to ensure smooth progression until completion
- Think creatively and develop new UIUX design concepts and hypotheses, and verify their effectiveness methodologically with end-users
- Propose intuitive, high-quality UI wireframes, sitemaps, user flows and ideally, WYSIWYG prototypes
- Clearly communicate digital product development progress and effectively present design proposals to executive management
- Properly document design assets and project progress
About you:
- Enjoys working in a startup environmentBachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field
- 0-3 years’ experience in product management or digital product design
- Highly self-motivated to accomplish tasks, swift at picking up new skills, and the adaptability to work in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, naturally curious and willing to ask questions and challenge the status quo
- Experienced in Figma, Adobe XD and/or similar prototyping apps is a plusExperience in using Adobe Illustrator and Notion is a plus
- Knowledge of Japanese language and culture is a plus
