Leap201 is a charity focusing on healthcare advocacy. Our first project brought critical illness insurance coverage to 170,000 migrant workers, in partnership with NTUC. We are now looking to do something similar to provide coverage for low-income working families in Singapore.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities for the Program and Communications Intern
Support the development of detailed qualitative research instruments
- Building on the internal database of questions, themes, and with reference to the hypotheses of the study, draft a detailed, turn-by-turn interview guide for various personas (Stroke Survivors, Social Workers and relevant experts)
- Draft an interview guide for a focused group discussion comprising working age Breast Cancer Survivors of different life stages to strengthen the case for one of the study’s identified hypothesis.
- Draft Expert Interview Guides for key stakeholders such as employment lawyers, oncologists, social workers, as well as train-and-place agencies.
Support the Research operations
- Onboarding: Support the communications and meeting documentation with prospective partnering organization who are providing data sources and leads for the project.
- Screening: Assisting in reviewing identified leads from our partners by running through our in-house screening questions and drafting a detailed profile of the interviewee to brief our knowledge partner who are running the interviews.
- Participate and document key points from post-interview review and revision of recruitment strategies based on the data points that are needed for the project.
- Ensure the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of required documentation for all research participants, and closing all communication loops with the participants.
Partnership and Communications
- Assist in preparing communication assets for the C4W Roundtable (e.g. speeches, press kit, talking points, remarks)
- Support creation of C4W social media content (e.g. teaser posts, post-event highlights)
- Assist in background research and drafting of an op-ed based on C4W’s public report
- Support partner engagement and gather post-roundtable feedback
- Assist in research and scoping of an amended tender to sustain C4W’s momentum, focusing on low-income working families facing critical illness and financial pressures (education, healthcare, housing)
- Contribute to content development for Leap201’s annual report
