Job Description

Position Summary: The Housekeeping Attendant (Bed Linen Stripper) plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

Room Maintenance:

  • Remove bed linens in checkout rooms, spray chemicals in the bathroom and vacuuming the floor.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Properly use and maintain housekeeping equipment, including vacuum cleaners and cleaning tools.
  • Report any malfunctioning equipment to the maintenance department.

Defect Identification:

  • Identify and report any defects, damages, or maintenance issues in guest rooms or public areas.
  • Report any lost and found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Safety Compliance:

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • No experience required but previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of safety and hygiene standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to start work immediately or short notice will be an advantage.
