Responsibilities / Objectives:-

Target Brands Research & Interactive Target Database

Build a detailed interactive, target database to enable the Company to run an effective and an efficient sales process.

  • Identify the top 10/20 brands by category on a global / regional / territory basis dependent on the “make-up” of each identified category.
  • Input key data/criteria into an interactive global database (e.g.)
    • Business name
    • Key contacts / contact details
    • Key financial data
    • Infrastructure
    • Key territories
    • Marketing & sponsorship investment
    • No. employees etc..
  • Database to be capable of interrogation at a number of identified commercial levels: (e.g)
    • Category
    • Region / geography
    • Revenues
    • Marketing investment
    • Sponsorship investment
  • Database to identify key strategic data that might inform a commercial interaction.

Create “1 page” research document for Top 50 / Top 100 target brands agreed by the Company Partner – Commercial & Asia.

Display Thought-Leadership

  • Work independently, and add strategic value to the task whilst aligning everything with key stakeholders within the Company
  • Research tools that will enable the most effective use of the developed database
  • Provide recommendations for the effective management of the database going forward

Key Measures of Success

  • Build a database of 1000+ brands capable of ‘interrogation’
  • Ensure the database can be easily and effectively maintained on an on-going basis
  • Effectively research prospective categories in line with the strategic objectives of the Consumer Platform
  • Network effectively where required to ensure the ‘authenticity’ of the data.
  • Positive engagement with business stakeholders


Job Description

Knowledge & Experience

Education/Qualifications:

Educated to degree level with strong commercial & analytical acumen

Essential

  • Commercial experience would be a benefit
  • Confident using Microsoft Office suite of tools and contact databases.
  • Project management – delivery of successful projects from inception to implementation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of the key principles of building a successful commercial strategy

Desirable

  • Previous experience of having worked collaboratively with external agencies and suppliers would be a benefit
  • Previous experience in a brand / commercial environment
  • Experience working on the development of new digital projects or products
  • Experience within a multi-stakeholder environment
