** This is a 1 year contract role with full benefits (subject to extension of contract/conversion to permanent role) **
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and operate conventional CNC milling, lathe and grinding machines
- Produce finished machining parts according to parts drawing and standard time
- Ensure that the ISO14000 standard is maintained
- Responsible for keying the operation time into EES for performance measurement
- Responsible for housekeeping and ensuring that the assigned machine area is clean and tidy
- Carry out duties in according with Quality Policy, EHS control procedures and WIS
- Ensure that all machine tools and instruments are properly calibrated and taken care of
Job requirements:
- Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical/Precision Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in precision manufacturing industry is an added advantage
- Able to work shifts and commit to overtime on weekdays and weekends when required
- Able to handle physical work and stand for long hours
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Have the initiative to learn and produce quality outcome
- Responsible and committed to the assigned task
- Team player and able to work independently
