Job Summary: Makoto-Ya is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Executive to support our marketing team. You will assist in digital marketing efforts across channels, supporting marketing events, as well as contribute to designing promotional materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Development & Public Relations: Support the public relations strategy for Makoto-Ya, Makoto House, and Sake Inn, enhancing brand presence and visibility. Assist management of media relationships and coordinate press outreach, interviews, and publicity efforts.
- Influencer & Affiliate Marketing: Support the team on affiliate and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) partnerships across Shopee, Instagram, TikTok, Livestream platforms and more. Identify, engage and manage relationships with influencers to drive brand awareness and conversions. Monitor performance and effectiveness of these campaigns, optimizing where necessary.
- Social Media & Digital Marketing: Assist in executing social media content across platforms for all three brands. Support the creation of compelling digital ads that align with brand positioning and campaign objectives.
- Event Marketing & Activation: Support marketing efforts for both internally-hosted and externally-participated events. Provide on-site event support, including sales facilitation and brand representation.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Coordinate with sales, channels and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Degree holder, preferably from a program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of key digital marketing channels, including email, social media marketing, and paid digital ads.
- Experience in Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, and/or Event Management is a big plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and creativity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design and content management tools (e.g., Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite) is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also managing independent tasks.
- Passion for Japanese food and beverage culture or prior marketing experience in a related field is highly desirable.
