Job Description

The Specialist will assist with a new venture's fundraising efforts, focusing on market research, financial analysis, and preparing pitch materials. This role also involves outreach to potential investors, visibility work, and adapting materials for various audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research:

    • Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitors, and potential investment opportunities.
    • Identify key metrics and insights to support financial projections and business strategy.

  2. Financial Analysis:

    • Assist in financial modeling, preparing forecasts, and analyzing key performance indicators.
    • Support in evaluating the financial viability of different business models and investment scenarios.

  3. Pitch Deck Preparation:

    • Create and continuously update a pitch deck, tailoring it to different investors and pitches.
    • Ensure the pitch deck is visually appealing, data-driven, and aligned with the company’s vision and goals.

  4. Investor Outreach:

    • Research and identify funds, M&A brokers, seed investors, and other stakeholders.
    • Assist with communication and outreach to potential investors and maintain a database of contacts.

  5. Fundraising Visibility:

    • Help with press releases, managing profiles on fundraising platforms, and increasing visibility for the venture.
    • Support the creation of marketing materials related to fundraising efforts.

  6. Adaptation and Flexibility:

    • Adapt pitch materials and strategies based on feedback from potential investors and industry trends.
    • Provide administrative support for meetings, follow-ups, and investor interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and startup fundraising.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
