MENDAKI Club, or MClub, is a community of Malay/Muslim young professionals and students who are engaged in general affairs concerning the community, Singapore and the world.
We engage in strategic youth development initiatives and participate actively in discussions on current developments in the local and global arena.
We also strive to build bridges within and beyond the Malay/Muslim community, to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. MClub was launched in 2000 by then-DPM Lee Hsien Loong and constantly seeks new and interested individuals to be part of its growing community.
As a registered society affiliated to the Malay/Muslim Self-Help Group Yayasan MENDAKI, the activities and programmes of MClub are largely organised and run by volunteers from a diverse range of professions and backgrounds.
Brief Job Description
You will be supporting Mendaki Club’s Secretariat Team and Data Team, as an intern and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful projects in the primarily Data & Research space that will address Mendaki Club’s programmes and volunteer management needs.
You will be expected to work between speculated time on weekdays but also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support executive committee meetings and programmes (claimable via working hours time-off).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Designing own research to be done based on topic of choice, that would be of benefit to MENDAKI Club or the Malay/Muslim eco-system in Singapore
- Supporting Data Team in creating, distributing, collecting, analysing and reporting of data and research for all MENDAKI Club’s programmes.
- Supporting Data Team in analysing and implementing the best data management system for all MENDAKI Club’s data and information.
- Supporting Programme Team to execute community programmes, benefitting the Malay/Muslim youths.
- Coordinating the logistical and administrative needs of community programmes.

- Learn how to frame and conduct research work that would be of benefit to the target
- Learn how to articulate research findings in an effective and concise manner
- Learn how to derive insights through data analysis
- Learn about programme and event management in the context of volunteer-led initiatives for the Malay/Muslim community
- Learn about the supporting roles of a Secretariat team in a volunteer-led initiatives for a Malay/Muslim community.
- Learn about Malay/Muslim issues and efforts towards solving these issues
