Job Description

A business development executive is responsible for researching and pursuing new business leads for the growth of the business. The role involves active coordination across teams and demands exceptional inter-personal skills. The executive is expected to work on new business proposals and presentations which are a persuasive representation of our products and services. We’re looking for an excellent, results-driven business development manager that can develop our business further.

What does a Business Development and Sales Executive need to do?

  • Generate leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing clients
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with constant developments in the market
  • Identify areas for expansion and development
  • Develop targeted short-term and long-term new business strategies
  • Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
  • Deliver against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
  • Working closely with the teams to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects
  • Provide inputs for sales and marketing collaterals – how the business positions itself for various audiences
  • Assist in the development of business strategies by using data and statistical analysis to identify high potential clients and brands.
  • Identify trends and market opportunities outside the mainstream C2C market

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 year experience within Business Development, New Business, Sales or Account Management role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
  • The ideal candidate needs to be determined, outgoing, positive, articulate and diplomatic
  • You will also need to be intrinsically motivated, performance-driven and results-oriented
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
  • Positive, team-player, and energetic attitude
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and comfortable with data, Photoshop and video editing skills will be advantageous
  • Relevant experience in e-commerce is a plus
  • Knowledge of local fashion and/or lifestyle industries will be a plus
