With other 8 years of experience in the events management and entertainment industry, Merry Bees have produced and performed to over 2,000 successful events by 2019 managing a slew of artistes and talents as well as having their own production arms www.livesound.sg and www.livestreamco.com. When COVID-19 hit us in 2020, Merry Bees was one of the first few events companies in Singapore who adapted quickly to virtual and since March 2020, we have produced and livestreamed to over 150 events and performance by Dec 2020.

Job Description

The Intern will be guided to do the following:

  • Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
  • Write copy for social media posts, promotional emails, and other marketing collateral.
  • Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
  • Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
  • Managing professionals and talents in the events and entertainment industry
  • Managing production crew and other professionals in production houses
  • Plan and prepare business proposal with the Business Development (BD) team
  • Provide administrative support to BD team on agreements, invoices, documentations, archival of events and more
  • Coordinating events on-site or virtually
  • Provide administrative and operational support
  • Photography and videography tasks at events on-site or virtually.
  • Production assistant to livestream and production/technical team.
  • Post event/production edits using adobe creative suite and other softwares such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Apply communication skills to perform workplace tasks
  • Handle customer enquiries and requests
  • Produce business documents using softwares
  • Build relationship with customers and manage customer needs and expectation
  • Provide information on products and services
  • Manage project timeline
  • Conduct research and gather information for proposal development
  • Prepare event proposal and budget
  • Coordinate event venue arrangements, programmes and materials
  • Manage onsite logistics, lighting/AV/and staging requirements, bumping out activities
  • Conduct equipment check and carry out proper storage
  • Administer customer feedback and prepare post event report
  • Prepare necessary documentation in support of project closure
  • Other adhoc duties when required

Here are the softwares that the intern will be utilising/guided on during the internship:

  • Keywords & SEOs apps/websites
  • Microsoft Word / Google Documents
  • Microsoft Powerpoint / Keynote
  • Microsoft Excel / Google Spreadsheet
  • Final Cut Pro / Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Others: Adobe Creative Suite (Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Light Room Classic, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
  • Broadcasting softwares: OBS, Streamyard and more
  • Canva

Production Equipment:

  • Sound system and audio equipment (how event sound system are being setup, run and teardown)
  • Live Stream equipment (using Black Magic Design setups, and more)
  • Camera equipment (Professional DSLR Cameras like Canon 5DM4, Sony A6000, and more)

Criteria

  • Background in Marketing, Communication, Arts Management, Business or other related discipline.
  • Well-groomed and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Interest in fashion and entertainment is a bonus
  • Knowledge and fluency in Mandarin and other languages is a bonus
  • Able and open to work under pressure and willing to work flexible hours
  • No prior experience is required but candidate must have a positive and resillient attitude, motivated and excited to learn new skills.
  • Team Player and pleasant personality
  • Has a strong sense of integrity and able to think quickly on his/her feet
  • Likes and has ability to organize and prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Has a passion and flair for using social networking platform
  • Commitment of 44 hours a week during period of internship

We also encourage school based applicants from local polytechnics to apply. Confirmed applicants will receive attractive remunerations of $700 onwards per month. Overtime (OT) is applicable in addition to other allowances.
