Job Description

Responsibilities 

  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of all production products and material as required 
  • Sending RFQ to suppliers and compiling quotations 
  • Coordinating the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials, due to new product development requirements 
  • Ensuring and promoting compliance to company procurement policies and procedures 
  • Proactively reporting product and material availability issues 
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures 

Requirements 

  • Currently enrolled in a Logistics / Supply Chain / Manufacturing Operations / Engineering program in an institute of higher learning 
  • Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel 
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail 
  • Excellent organisation, communication and follow-up skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with speaking in Mandarin to liaise with suppliers based in China for RFQs and for following up with payment
