About the Milken Institute and the Singapore Internship Program
The Milken Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank determined to increase global prosperity by advancing collaborative solutions that widen access to capital, create jobs and improve health. We do this through independent, data-driven research, action-oriented meetings, and meaningful policy initiatives.
The Milken Institute Singapore Internship Program aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors. We create a customized experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development. This experience includes opportunities to:

Position: Intern, Partnerships
Location: Singapore, Central Business District
The Partnerships Internship offers a graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s) unique exposure to the key players in the finance, investment, multi-lateral, and philanthropic landscapes of the Asia-Pacific region.
Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Programs, the Partnerships Intern will focus on engaging current strategic partners, developing new partnerships, and expanding audiences to grow our network of multilateral and bilateral partners in Asia. The Intern will help also support the Institute’s signature programming and events including the Global Conference and the Asia Summit. In particular, the Asia Summit presents a tremendous opportunity to join the team organizing this exclusive, invitation-only event that will gather over 1,000 high-profile executives, influential investors, heads of sovereign wealth funds, and philanthropists from around the world.
She/he will also be involved in on-going development of the Milken Institute Singapore Internship Program in partnership with Partners Group.
Key Responsibilities
In coordination with the Director of Philanthropy and Programs, the intern will:
- Assist with the organization and implementation of the Milken Institute’s multilateral and bilateral partnerships, programming, and events
- Conduct research and analysis on key topics of interest to existing and potential multilateral and bilateral partners
- Identify further engagement opportunities that the Milken Institute is well-positioned to explore as we build our multilateral and bilateral partnerships in Asia
- Help create partnership proposals for other potential partners
- Attend partnership meetings and other external events, and produce post-meeting notes
- Track key trends and news related to multilateral organizations in Asia
Qualifications
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills
- Detailed-oriented and well-organized
- Able to self-manage well and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to collaborate in a dynamic team environment
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate is preferred
- Singaporean national is preferred
Internship Duration
We offer a 4 to 12-month internship with flexibility on the dates. Ideally, the intern would be able to stay through completion of the Asia Summit at the end of September 2023. In the event of COVID-19 restrictions, we expect interns to be able to work fully remotely as needed, and join team meetings and other calls virtually.
