Role Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (Virtual Account) to drive growth and market expansion. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire business development lifecycle, from identifying new opportunities to closing high-value deals, specifically focusing on virtual accounts within the payments sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payments industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, guiding them to achieve performance targets and supporting their professional growth, while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture
- Oversee and manage all stages of business development for virtual accounts, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Serve as the main contact for operational inquiries and issues related to Virtual Accounts.
- Identify potential clients through market research, networking, and other channels to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and oversee tailored proposals, and negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with prospective clients to secure new business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements.
- Monitor and manage in identify root causes when issues arise by implement corrective actions.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce risks.
- Establish and sustain robust relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within potential client organizations.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and technical teams to shape the product roadmap based on market needs.
- Stay current on industry trends, market activities, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and address challenges.
- Represent company at industry events and conferences to boost brand visibility and cultivate valuable business connections.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within fintech companies or payment gateways in the financial services or fintech industry, including a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. A strong understanding of virtual accounts and related technologies is a plus.
This role also requires at least of 2 to 3 years of leadership and management experience.
In-depth understanding of the virtual account for payment industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Salary range from $8,000 to $11,000.
