Job Description

Objective

MAEH seeks to engage a Lab Technician Intern to assist with the day-to-day operations of our Laboratory Department, which include waste handling, waste segregation and supporting lab activities for waste analysis. 

 

Opportunity 

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about waste management system, understand the operation/function of laboratory in a waste management company. 

By end of internship, you will gain in-depth knowledge of waste industry including waste segregation packaging, handling and disposal of toxic waste. 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Performing routine/non-routine laboratory analysis to support plant operations. 

  1. Conduct testing accurately, efficiently and in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures. 

  1. Carry out laboratory daily stock check and monthly inventory of chemicals and consumables. 

  1. Maintain complete and accurate recording of all tests performed in the relevant worksheet. 

  1. Ensure the assigned tests are performed in a timely manner accordance with standard operating procedure. 

  1. Laboratory housekeeping to ensure a good lab environment. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8.00am – 5.24pm, Monday to Friday.
  • 8.00am – 12.00pm, alternate Saturdays.
  • Rest on public holidays. 
  • Background in Chemistry with some laboratory skills.
  • Organize, meticulous, attentive to details 
  • Takes initiative, positive and passionate 
  • Easily adaptable, independent but also works well in a team 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills
