Job Description
- Coordinate online or print publishing cycle and manage content areas
- Set publication standards and establish goals and expectations
- Suggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with targeted audience’s preferences
- Proofread, edit and improve stories or pieces
- Cooperate and liaise with designers, photographers, advertising reps, etc
- Comply with media law and ethical guidelines
- Meet deadlines and budget requirements
- Researching the market including reading relevant publications, and staying up to date with writing that is being produced in your chosen field
- Writing talent, originality, ability to work independently and self-promotion abilities
- Prepare, rewrite and edit copy to improve readability, or supervise others who do this work.
- Oversee publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget requirements.
