The National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) is the steward of the City of Good vision for Singapore, where individuals, organisations, and leaders come together to give their best for others. We invite you to join us in building a #CityofGood together.
The Knowledge & Insights team is a multi-disciplinary team that conducts timely and relevant research to inform internal stakeholders and influence external partners, such as government agencies, non-profits, companies and funders.
We aspire to transform Singapore into a Giving Nation through developing insights to inspire action via meaningful, impact-driven research. We seek motivated candidates with the passion to make this happen, where the ability to make a difference at a national level is a reward in itself, with meaningful work at the intersection of the non-profit, public and private sectors.
Interns will be involved in the Philanthropic Landscape Study, a landmark study seeking to explore and map out the philanthropy landscape in Singapore. We hope to achieve this by:
- identifying who the givers/players are in the landscape (e.g., family foundations, corporate foundations, community foundations);
- outlining their key priorities, areas of focus and purposes; and
- understanding the various mechanisms/strategies for philanthropic giving to achieve their mission/goals.
Through this study, we aim to bring greater clarity amongst relevant stakeholders in the landscape, assist strategic decision making, fundraising/grant-making and encourage better resource allocation. In addition, through looking at the rationale and vehicles in giving, shed some light on the evolving trends of philanthropic giving and its implications for our future.
