National Youth Council (Strategic Communications) is looking for Digital Marketing Interns
As a Digital Marketing intern, you will be creating content for Youthopia’s digital media platforms. You will get to hone your visual communication skills by helping to develop Youthopia’s branding and marketing strategies. You will support us in maintaining brand consistency and conceptualise creative ways to enhance the public’s recall of our key messages and initiatives.
Five things you can expect from this internship
1. Learn how to communicate messages creatively and effectively through designs
You know how to simplify content and package it for your target audience. You can expect to work on transforming content into simple infographics, or create event posters. You also get to design engaging visuals across our digital platforms to communicate our key messages and initiatives.
2. Make marketing plans come alive through your creativity
You get to assist the team in conceptualising and creating compelling marketing collaterals ranging from print, digital to corporate gifts – no USBs or tumblers, please. While you will be working with our current logo and colour guides, we also want to see you bring your own touch of creativity to the table.
3. Manage our social media accounts and online communication channels
You get to learn the difference between managing your own Instagram account and a brand’s Instagram account. It’s same same, but different. There are things to note like timing, audience behaviour, relationship, quality, quantity, tone, engagement, and about 18,000 more factors.
4. Working collaboratively on a campaign
You will learn how to ensure that our company is represented accurately through a cohesive design and brand identity, be it social media posts for Instagram or outdoor and digital advertisements that shout our brand. You will be a key member of the team organising our marketing campaigns, and we love it if you propose your own ideas.
5. Be active on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook
You can finally use TikTok, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for work, be it surfing the web for cat videos, scrolling through infinite feeds, or lurking online and see what’s new and trending. These are just some of your daily duties. Tough, isn’t it?
Requirements:

- Able to deliver quality work within tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and in a team

- Able to see the big picture and translate them into local initiatives
- Working knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) are advantageous
- Working knowledge of photography and video-editing are a bonus
- Finally, being comfortable in front of the camera is a big plus.
