Company Profile
Netccentric Ltd was incorporated on 18th of August 2006, by Cheo Ming Shen
and Timothy Tiah. Both partners had met whilst studying in London, and fresh
from graduation, brimming with ideas, started Netccentric Ltd as the holding
company for their web ventures.
Ming Shen and Timothy had previously dabbled successfully in online
businesses. The former in Singapore’s first online gadget store,
www.gadgeit.com, and the latter in what was then Malaysia’s leading Tuition
matching service, www.tuitionhamster.com .
Coupled with a mixed bag of working experience in the Finance and
Government sectors, their first project was to be Nuffnang.com, Asia Pacific’s
First Blog Advertising Community.
A runaway success, the pair were nominated as being amongst Businessweek’s
Top 25 Young Entrepreneurs in 2007.The years 2008 and 2009 witnessed
geographical expansion of their businesses, and the launching of 2 separate
ventures, a Twitter Advertising Network, ChurpChurp.com, and an interactive
design house, Ripplewerkz. 2010 has seen the launch of Jipaban.com, an online
shopping mall with integrated social networking features. And most recently in
2012, Reelity TV, an online web video channel was incorporated as well.
Job Description
The internship trainee will be assigned to a specific
department and will work closely with the members of the team. The trainee will
play an active role in assisting with the daily operations of the team. Some
duties include doing market research where necessary, liaising with vendors,
assisting with organising events. Trainee will also be able to adopt a hands-on
approach in the execution of the event. Trainee can expect some copy-writing
and administrative duties assigned to him as well. Ad hoc duties may be
delegated during the trainee’s internship period.
