New Academy of Finance (NAOF) is a Singapore based personal finance and investment web portal with the mission to educate our readers and members of the public with the tools and resources necessary to make informed decisions around their personal finance and investments.

Hatched in 2019, our work has featured deep coverage of personal finance topics including the categories of Singapore and International Property Investments, CPF and Retirement Planning, Insurance and Savings. In the areas of personal investing in capital markets, our work has span the areas of global equities including coverage of strategies and tactics in trading and investments.

Job Description

About the role

We are currently recruiting freelance writers (intern) who can support our growing Singapore operation. As a successful candidate, you would provide copywriting and investment writing support for our audience in the capital markets area of equities. You must be a self-starter who is able to ‘hit the ground running’.

You must have:

  1. Willingness, interest and knowledge to write on global equities. Specifically, US, HK and Singapore equities.
  2.  Proven writing, editing, proof reading and analytical skills;
  3.  Understanding of various asset classes, in particular equities;
  4.  Excellent written English and application of English grammar, along with an exceptional eye for detail;
  5.  Strong organisational abilities and ability to multi-task;
  6.  Excellent audience and readership focus;
  7.  Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines;
  8.  Ability to work both as part of a team and independently;
  9.  Solid level of numeracy and a good understanding of financial data;
  10.  Strong PC literacy and advanced MS Word skills;
  11.  Willingness to follow processes and adopt new procedures;
  12.  Proactive approach to maintaining the information flow within the team;
  13.  Good communicator; able to build effective working relationships with team’s key stakeholders.

Desirable skills

Strong grounding in financial services, with knowledge of different sectors and asset classes a big advantage.

Salary and benefits

This is a freelance internship program initiative with the potential for a more permanent role with NAOF. Renumeration is based on given output and articles generated in the said topic. Please also indicate your desired rate if available.
