PPIS is dedicated to working with women of all ages in carrying out their multiple roles in society. We run three core community services, namely Family Services, Student Care, and a Residential Facility, serving as a secular halfway house for women engaged in community rehabilitation programs. With 10 centres island-wide, the services work together to provide quality and holistic support and developmental programmes for women and their families across the different phases of their lives.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

1. Management and Administration

  • Work under supervision of the Supervisor within the student care centre’s policies, philosophy and procedures to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Assist Supervisor in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the SCC programme.

2. Child Development

  • Apply child development knowledge to promote and support children’s learning and holistic development specific to individual needs.

3. Learning Environments and Curriculum

  • Plan and implement daily and holiday programme
  • Plan strategies to support learning and development
  • Support children’s emotional development and positive relationship
  • Lead and manage a class of her own
  • Deliver lessons in classroom based on given lesson plans
  • Propose for relevant resources and materials for her own class
  • Conduct classroom sharing experiences with peers at least once a month
  • Propose field trips and work together with the Senior Programme Assistant
  • Attend meetings with SCC staffs at own centre level

4. Family and Community Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with families by communicating and sharing information and resources to facilitate the continuity of learning between centre, homes and the wider community.
  • Comply with government regulations, quality assurance framework

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Care & Programmes (Student Services & Coaching)
  • WSQ Introductory Student Care
  • Has a valid certificate in first aid
  • Has at least 2 years of relevant experience in SCC sector
  • Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently with good classroom and management skills.
  • Possess effective organizational and follow-up skills, paying attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner
