PPIS is dedicated to working with women of all ages in carrying out their multiple roles in society. We run three core community services, namely Family Services, Student Care, and a Residential Facility, serving as a secular halfway house for women engaged in community rehabilitation programs. With 10 centres island-wide, the services work together to provide quality and holistic support and developmental programmes for women and their families across the different phases of their lives.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

1. Administration

  • To assist the Supervisor in all the clerical and administrative duties, including correspondences, leave applications and recordings, staff training, claims and welfare.
  • To collate all applications for student enrollment.
  • To prepare all documents necessary for accurate submissions for funding from Student Care Financial Assistance (SCFA).
  • To assist in handling enquiries relevant to programme.

2. Finance

  • To prepare, check and submit all financial transaction documents and accounts to the Supervisor for submission to Finance HQ.
  • To prepare monthly financial reports of income and expenses for Finance HQ.
  • To issue accurate receipts.
  • To maintain and monitor the SCC Petty Cash float and ensure accurate accounting and reimbursements.

3. Supervision of Children ( coverage )

· To cover the duties of the SCC Programme Assistant in all aspects of the SCC programme implementation in the event of the latter’s absence.

4. Other Duties

  • To provide First Aid
  • To act as float for coverage of SCC duties in other PPIS SCC, if necessary.
  • To carry out any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum GCE ‘O’ Levels
  • Has a valid certificate in first aid is an added advantage
  • Has at least 2 years of relevant experience in SCC sector would be good
  • Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently with good classroom and management skills.
  • Possess effective organizational and follow-up skills, paying attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner.
