NTUC LearningHub – Solution Architect

• Able to make the conversion of business requirements into architecture and a design that will become the blueprint for the Solution being created.
• Involved in, within the past through reading and staying abreast of the latest techniques, or through personal experience.
• Coordinate the execution of the various implementation activities, performed by (in-house) engineers and external parties (vendors, affiliates and third-party suppliers).
• Control of all resources, maintain a structured plan for the execution and report and escalate during the deployment phase.
• Work with structured hand-over procedures to operations, including solid acceptance criteria.
• Define clear project goals and lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
• Collaborate with business users to create architecture in alignment with business need
• Champion the adoption of reusable architecture assets to improve efficiency
• Produce documentation to aid in the understanding of existing architecture solutions
• Conduct architectural evaluation, design, analyze and provide solutions to improve existing systems
• Research on emerging technologies and propose for changes if needed
• Provide guidance and training to development team on new technologies
• Work closely with project team to implement new solutions
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for business users
• Liaise with relevant teams to resolve technical problem

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• More than 8 years experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
• Good understanding of:
  • building enterprise applications using Java, Angular, Hibernate and Spring
  • designing architecture solutions based on microservice technology principles with repeatable processes that are high in performance, security and scalability
  • building Restful web services leveraging on Open API specifications and API Gateway
  • Docker-based container, Kubernetes or other container schedulers
  • cloud infrastructure
  • Server-side (ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, Node.js) and client-side (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) technologies
  • Database design (both RDMBS and NoSQL databases, MangoDB and/or other DB)
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies (e.g. AWS Lambda or other equivalents)
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Ability to demonstrate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• A solid background in a combination of Infrastructure / Data Center / Networks / Storage / Workplace / Identity / SharePoint / Unified Comms / Disaster Recovery / Collaboration / Virtualization / Sustainability /Security Technology arenas.
• Preferably with Java Programming experiences and project management professional certification
