Since its inception in 2012, the Nuclear Business Platform (NBP) has served as an avenue for public and private organisations across the globe to learn about the potential of adopting and/or expanding their nuclear power programmes as part of their energy demand and diversification strategy. NBP focuses on assisting primary nuclear stakeholders in gaining access to relevant services/solutions to aid in their nuclear power programmes development.
At the heart of what we do, we firmly believe that nuclear energy is pivotal in the fight against climate change and countries must include nuclear energy in discussions to achieve decarbonisation and net zero.
NBP is a business unit of Industry Platform, a growth consulting firm headquartered in Singapore and with regional presence in Morocco and India.
For the past decade NBP has been actively engaging with multilateral bodies, government stakeholders and international suppliers to push forth nuclear energy developments in East Asia, Southeast Asia, India, Africa and Middle East.
A core activity of NBP is working with government organisations in emerging countries to assist them in their journey towards adopting nuclear energy. This involves providing insights to these governments on the latest and most suitable technologies, solutions and services to facilitate their domestic nuclear energy developments. This would also involve connecting them with appropriate international organisations from developed nuclear energy nations.
With this in mind, Nuclear Business Platform currently has an opportunity for a Global Business Development (Nuclear Energy) role for a candidate who is passionate in helping governments from emerging countries develop strategic business relationships with international organisations from both the private and public sector in the nuclear energy sector. The role has a global coverage and the candidate will identify and work with prospect international companies which are planning to pursue the emerging nuclear markets in Asia, Africa and Middle East.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Understanding nuclear energy developments in Asia, Africa, Middle East from a business perspective
- Researching on international companies in the nuclear energy sector which might have an interest to do business in the burgeoning Asia, African, Middle East and Indian nuclear market
