Intern Job Description
The internship position exposes the candidate to some of the internal workings of finance and operations support. Reporting to both the Financial Controller and Chief Operating Officer of the private one-stop dental care group, the candidate will gain hands-on experience in the healthcare industry.
Intern
- Assist Finance team with accounts receivable, payable and monthly bank statement reconciliation – including following up with existing client accounts
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation
- Perform reconciliation for monthly intercompany balances and billings
- Assist with the preparation for audit and clearing of audit findings
- Support the operations team to provide support for clinic operations
- Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes
- Any other daily and ad hoc tasks as required
Working hours: 9am to 6pm daily (Monday to Friday).
Qualifications:
- In 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate program in related fields (eg Accounting, Finance, Business Administration)
- Knowledge of basic principles and practices of financial accounting
- Previous internship or related experience in finance, healthcare or operations is a plus.
- Basic working experience in Microsoft Excel is required
- Able to communicate professionally with both internal stakeholders and external clients
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
