Primary Responsibilities: -
ᄋ Manage the controlling and financial reporting of projects in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standard
ᄋ Ensure project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines; Actual Cost, Commitments, Cost-to-Come, Cost-at-Completion, and revenue recognition per FRS/IFRS
ᄋ Provide timely support in Budget and Forecast.
ᄋ Provide timely Project and Financial analysis support.
ᄋ Organise the project reviews from start to the end of each contract
ᄋ Analyse the execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
ᄋ Participate in value-add projects to identify and drive continuous improvements in process efficiencies.
ᄋ Participate in yearly budget and monthly/quarterly/yearly forecast process in relation to project costing.
ᄋ In charge of project billing process, including responding to client inquiries ensuring that project billings are up to date and submitted and that project AR is monitored and controlled
ᄋ Work on POC schedule and accruals with project controls and provide monthly accruals to finance.
ᄋ Month end project closing and close out project accounts upon project completion
ᄋ Support the Project Manager and other project functions as a finance partner (prepare in conjunction with the project team, the project review content)
ᄋ Have a clear understanding of the project documents and systems and actively manage any financial implications arising from them
ᄋ Coordinate with the project team to ensure consistent accounting (margin and revenue recognition) and reporting across the project.
ᄋ Ensure that all financial processes and internal controls, including Purchase-to-Pay cycle, are implemented, robust and compliant
ᄋ Take overall responsibility of all financial issues on the project, from pre-contract award, to contract close
ᄋ Have at all times knowledge of financial movements and ensure that such information is consistent and reconciled on a regular basis in the ERP systems
ᄋ Manage the interfaces with other expert functions: Including tax, treasury, insurance, contract management
ᄋ Provide support for accurate claim compilation and ensuring total consistency of all internal and external claims in the project financials
ᄋ Provide support for correct risk and opportunity recognition, valuation, sharing and associated reporting
ᄋ Provide necessary support to Project Manager on financial and commercial issues
Secondary Responsibilities: -
ᄋ Download ERP reports related to project PL / Project Costs into excel after month end, reconciliation of excel financials with ERP to ensure accuracy.
ᄋ Update project profitability reports by entity on a month-to-month basis.
ᄋ Ad hoc reconciliations on project costs and revenue as required.
ᄋ Review of billings prepared by employees.
ᄋ Handle quarterly GST submission
ᄋ Tax compliance - Liaise with external auditors and tax agent
ᄋ Provide support to auditor requirements.
Requirement:
ᄋ Minimum Recognized Degree and above or equivalent in Finance / Accountancy
ᄋ Specializing in Finance - General / Cost Accounting or equivalent
ᄋ Self-starter with strong organizational skills and deep knowledge of finance best practice minimum 2-3 years in accounting fields or in audit firm
ᄋ Independence, strong analytical skills and attention to details
ᄋ Good business acumen, strong problem-solving skills
ᄋ Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize a demanding workload
ᄋ Can start work immediately
