Job Description

M&A & Private Credit Internship

This position sits within the Private Credit and M&A teams. We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as an investment analyst, dedicated to cultivating strong relationships and driving value for our clients across different industry sectors.

Job Description 

You will be part of a cohesive team that supports a full-service investment firm headquartered in Singapore, making active private credit investments (including structured credit, mezzanine debt, etc.) and engaging in corporate financial advisory and the execution of M&A transactions regionally.

Internship Periods

  • Off-Cycle Internship: Jan 2025 to Aug 2025
  • Summer Internship: May 2025 to Aug 2025

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of M&A deals from deal generation to post-deal integration.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential investments, including sourcing, market and industry analysis, qualification, financial modelling, and integration activities.
  • Prepare and present pitch materials for client meetings, actively engage in client discussions, and coordinate transaction evaluation and pricing.
  • Actively participate in structuring transactions for strategic advisory encompassing various solutions including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt instruments such as bonds and loans, and equity solutions.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to assess corporate lenders’ creditworthiness and structure private credit deals, including negotiation of terms, agreements, and securitisation.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, investment teams, and regional partners.
  • Any additional ad-hoc tasks required.

Qualifications & Prerequisites

  • Pursuing an under/post-graduate degree in a technical or analytical discipline (i.e., Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or any other related fields).
  • Past relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, management consulting, or any other related fields.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills with attention to detail and understanding of building financial models.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Candidates who are able to commit to the full off-cycle internship period of Jan to Aug 2025 with their university-approved Leave of Absence will be preferred.
