Job Description

Overview: You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of orders to local customers. This role ensures timely and efficient delivery while optimizing routes and managing logistics costs. The planner will work closely with the warehouse, drivers, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth delivery process.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Order Coordination: Plan and schedule deliveries based on customer orders and priorities. Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are ready for dispatch.
    Confirm delivery details with customers, including address, time, and any special instructions.
  2. Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
    Use route planning software and tools to create the most effective delivery schedules.
    Monitor traffic conditions and adjust routes as necessary.
  3. Driver Management: Assign delivery tasks to drivers based on their schedules and routes.
    Communicate delivery plans and any changes to drivers promptly.
    Ensure drivers have all necessary documentation and instructions for deliveries.
  4. Customer Communication: Provide customers with delivery updates and estimated arrival times. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any delivery issues or complaints.
    Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
  5. Logistics Coordination:Coordinate with third-party logistics providers if needed.
    Manage relationships with local delivery partners and service providers.
    Ensure compliance with all company policies and delivery standards.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including times, locations, and any issues encountered.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivery planning, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local traffic patterns and delivery regulations.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Hours:

  • Monday to Friday and 2 x Saturday
  • 8.30am to 5.30am
