Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Entry-Level R&D Specialist to join our innovative ice cream and premix development team. The successful candidate will support the creation, improvement, and testing of ice cream recipes and processes, ensuring our products meet high-quality standards and delight our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate food scientist or related graduate eager to develop their career in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development:

    • Assist in developing new ice cream flavors, textures, and formulations based on market trends and consumer insights.
    • Support the modification and improvement of existing recipes.
  2. Testing and Quality:

    • Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale trials to test recipes and ingredients.
    • Perform sensory evaluations and shelf-life studies to ensure product quality and consistency.
  3. Ingredient Sourcing:

    • Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality raw materials and ingredients.
    • Evaluate new ingredients for taste, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed records of experiments, formulations, and results.
    • Develop technical specifications for products, including nutritional information and ingredient declarations.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with production, marketing, and quality assurance teams to bring concepts to commercialization.
    • Provide technical support during production trials and initial scale-ups.
  6. Innovation and Trends:

    • Stay updated with the latest trends in ice cream, frozen desserts, and food technology.
    • Recommend innovative ideas and improvements to products and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Internship or academic experience in food product development is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and sensory science.
    • Familiarity with ice cream production and formulation is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Creativity and passion for food innovation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic lab equipment.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate with various stakeholders.
    • Singaporean or PR only.
