OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd (“OMS”) is the Group’s marketing and procurement hub that operates out of Singapore.

Originally formed in the 90s focusing on the raw materials trade in China, OMS possesses an extensive trade network and an edge in connecting raw materials with buyers and users. Its scope and range of action has since evolved to a global scale, albeit retaining an Asian focus.

Based in Singapore, the division is active in ore and ferroalloy markets.

Collectively, the division leverages the economies of scale of the Group’s operations to streamline raw material procurement and product sales.

Job Description
  • Manage the finance function, both in Singapore and overseeing Group subsidiaries;
  • Assist to implement efficient and effective finance process/structure;
  • Build robust financial forecasts and growth models to support business strategy;
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policy and principles;
  • Monitor and ensure process compliance and good financial governance;
  • Support management on financial and operational issues;
  • Involve in statutory reporting, annual audit (internal & external), internal controls, tax compliance, etc;
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to address specific finance matters;
  • Drafting and review of relevant ASX / BURSA announcements;
  • Prepare meetings and presentation materials for investors and board members;
  • Assist to streamline processes, identify and implement improvements and participate in ad-hoc projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience;
  • Prior experience in audit is preferred;
  • Experience in Group Consolidation is preferred;
  • Qualification in CPA/CA/ACCA/CIA would be a plus;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • In depth knowledge of tax is an added advantage.
