Job Description

About this role

This program is meant for fresh graduates or those with a few years of working experience, looking to start their career in the world of physical commodities. The program is an accelerated induction experience, with an emphasis on learning by doing. Trainees will work on physical operations across global markets and be given real responsibilities to help develop practical skills and competencies. Candidates should be highly motivated and interested in building a long-term career in the company.

Trades Trainee


  • Opportunity to be exposed to: Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations;
  • Logistics and shipping documentation;
  • Additional exposure to other functional areas such as mining, smelting, material processing;
  • Frontline sale/purchase execution and risk management;
  • Long term business development, sales planning, and strategy;
  • Manage relationships with buyers, sellers, and service providers;
  • Data compilation, research and analysis;
  • Ad-hoc traveling as and when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant discipline, demonstrated academic achievements, entry level candidates welcome;
  • Analytical and strong logical thinker, results oriented;
  • Self-driven team player, a good listener and good communicator;
  • Systematic and organized, able to thrive under pressure and situational ambiguity;
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts.
