Omens Studios Pte Ltd – IT Support Engineer

Functioning as IT Support Engineer in animation studios, you must have the interest and/or knowledge of the animation production workflow and the understanding of the demands of production. You are responsible to provide technical support to the creative team and to studios-wide needs.
Job Requirements:
• To fully support and attend to all staffs promptly and efficiently across all departments and locations (locally and remotely) by providing solutions to any technical issues related to hardware, software, network, servers, etc. so as to avoid any delay in the studio’s production and minimise any operational risks.
• Responsible for all aspects of the studio’s network, server and core infrastructure, including but not limited to installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance, monitoring security procedures, capacity planning and maintenance of all computer hardware and software systems in the studios.
• To proactively mitigate risks and fix potential issues before they happen and ensure all systems and services needed for a smooth production is always readily available.
• To configure, maintain and improve in-house servers, network functions, render farms by regular checking and through discussions with the related departments, and ensure the core infrastructure are sufficient to support the projects that the team is working on.
• To ensure all staffs’ workstations are equipped with necessary production tools such as proper software, updated patches and licenses to carry out their work efficiently on daily basis.
• To conduct quarterly maintenance checks on all equipment to avoid any undetected hazards and unauthorised installations by any staffs.
• To maintain and update company’s website with the recent news and changes when required.
• To maintain proper documentation of licenses, hardware and software inventories and ensure that records are up to date and properly presented. Monthly IT reports are required.
• To always maintain cleanliness and tidiness of working areas, and making it pleasant for everyone not limited to the IT workspaces, personal desk area, server room and storage areas.
• To work closely with the management, TD, CG supervisor or any stakeholders in optimising the current pipeline and build a robust and efficient workflow by providing the required underlaying infrastructure.
• To work on any other IT or tech related matters or projects as when required by different stakeholders internal or external.

Requirements:
• Fresh graduate or up to 3 years’ working experience in similar capacity
• Exhibit strong interest in technology and entertainment industry
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with fluid requirements and deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Strong in troubleshooting skills, networking and connectivity skills
• Ability to work efficiently with a local and remote team
• Past working experience in animation and/or vfx studios is an advantage
