About Omnicom Public Relations Group
Omnicom Public Relations Group’s Singapore office offers paid learning internship opportunities designed for students (with or without prior internship experience) who are at the starting point of their communications careers. This role will support the public relations team working with clients in the financial technology and asset management industries. These programmes typically run for six months to provide driven and organized individuals a fantastic learning ground to hone and expand their skill-set working in a dynamic and fast-paced communications agency setting, with real client work starting from the very first week.
Participants are paired with some of the industry’s most creative, brightest, energetic and enthusiastic strategic communications professionals to learn all aspects of public relations, and work on live high-profile and leading client projects by assisting with tasks integral to the basis of client’s strategy and positioning.

What you will do:
Selected candidates will get to learn about and be part of strategic PR communications strategies for clients in the financial technology and asset management industries by assisting in the following areas:
- Media relations: development of tailored pitches and distribution lists, introduction to tactical media liaison with Tier 1 journalists across regional, national and trade outlets (broadcast TV, radio, print and online)
- Development of media materials (including but not limited to): drafting media releases, media alerts, event invites, interview briefing documents, thought leadership opinion pieces
- Development of client-facing materials: development of media monitoring reports, meeting agendas, PowerPoint presentations for internal communications
- Industry research: undertaking desktop research to contribute to new business pitches, PR plans and media materials; participation in internal brainstorms
What you will need:
- Entry Level candidates or final year students with a Degree in Communications or Journalism; Business; or other degrees considered which require solid business acumen and writing skills
- (All ages are welcome to apply)
- Able to commit to at least three (3) months of internship, although six (6) is preferred to receive the full benefit of these programmes
- Team player who is committed and enthusiastic; open to feedback and coaching
- Strong writing skills are fundamental to a communications role; applicants must be able to demonstrate solid writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A basic understanding of the financial media and the Singapore media landscape
- Interest in or basic understanding of the financial technology and services industry
- Basic business acumen; knowledge of current news at both a local and global level
- Basic organization skills; participants may take projects from multiple leaders
