The Social Media Intern will assist the Social Media Manager in implementing the company's social media strategy, developing brand awareness, and generating inbound traffic. The intern will gain practical experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Assist in creating and curating engaging content for various social media platforms.
Generate creative ideas for posts, graphics, and multimedia content.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall marketing goals.Social Media Management:
Schedule and publish content on social media channels.
Monitor social media platforms for trends, comments, and mentions.
Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all social media channels.Analytics and Reporting:
Track and analyze social media performance metrics.
Prepare regular reports on key social media insights and engagement.
Provide recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.Campaign Support:
Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate social media into broader marketing initiatives
Monitor and report on the performance of paid social media campaigns.Research:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media.
- Conduct research on competitors and identify opportunities for improvement.
Photography and Videography:
- Assist in creating visual content, including photos and videos, for social media.
- Basic editing and optimization of visual content for online use.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Digital Media).
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Basic graphic design skills and knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Understanding of social media analytics and tracking tools.
- Photography and videography skills are beneficial.
