Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Founder’s Office. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the foundational projects of a rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Thesis Building:
Comprehensive Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the cross-border commerce industry, including market size, growth potential, and key players.
Trend Analysis: Identify and analyse emerging trends and technological advancements in cross-border commerce.
Competitive Analysis: Evaluate competitors’ strategies, strengths, and weaknesses to inform OppDoor’s market positioning.
Case Study Development: Develop detailed case studies on brands that have successfully expanded internationally, highlighting their strategies, challenges, and outcomes.
Thesis Building: Collaborate with the strategy team to refine and articulate OppDoor’s business thesis based on research findings.
Project Management Tools & Workflow Development:
Needs Assessment: Work with the business strategy team to identify specific project management needs and pain points.
Tool Benchmarking: Research and evaluate various project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to determine the best fit for OppDoor’s requirements.
Customization & Implementation: Customise selected tools to align with OppDoor’s workflows, conduct trials, gather feedback, and implement the tools across the team.
Workflow Optimization: Design and document efficient workflows and processes to enhance team productivity and project tracking.
Training & Support: Provide training and ongoing support to team members on the use of new tools and workflows, ensuring smooth adoption and utilisation.
Requirements:
Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Trello, or similar software. Basic understanding of AI and its applications in business is an advantage.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse teams.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Proactive and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
