Learning Outcomes & Objectives:
Assist the intern’s development of employer-valued skills such as teamwork, communications, and attention to detail.
Expose the student to the environment and expectations of performance on the part of accountants in professional accounting practice.
Enhance and expand the student's knowledge of a particular area of accounting.
Expose the student to professional role models or mentors who will provide the student with support in the early stages of the internship and provide an example of the behaviours expected in the intern's workplace.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end financial reports.
Post journal entries.
Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
Assist with audits.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Manage monthly tracking of physical inventory.
Support the payment processing.
Perform credit checks.
Assist with data entry.
Assist with payroll.
Assist in ERP migration and set up.
