OtterHalf (www.otterhalf.co), founded in April 2023, is a marketing consultancy firm that aims to help tech companies grow sustainably with creativity and kickass execution. To date, we have gotten REFASH, an EduTech company Zenith Learning Group, CapitaLand’s Singapore Science Park Flavours of Tomorrow Festival 2024, and sustainable travel eco-camping company Into the Woods as clients. The key services we provide include strategic consultancy, project-based conversions-focused campaign launches, and the option to serve as a fractional marketing team for businesses.

Our brand story
Our name is a playful twist on 'Other Half', reflecting our commitment to being the reliable partner that you can count on.
We see ourselves as playful, carefree, and just as fun-loving as the animal itself. But beyond our fun-loving nature, we also value teamwork and believe that we're stronger together. We're inspired by the social behaviour of otters, who are known for working together in groups to hunt, as well as our own story of how OtterHalf came about. Our team was brought together through tough times. The three of the founding team members were made redundant from our previous jobs at the height of a tech layoff. However, we turned that experience into a positive one by creating OtterHalf.

Job Description
We are looking for talents who are passionate in growing tech businesses and enjoy working in a fast-moving, energetic, and results-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and adaptable team player with strong communication skills to support lead generation and market research. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the team to brainstorm new ideas and to contribute your unique perspective to drive business objectives forward.
This is an internship position that reports to the Founder, who is based in Singapore.
What to expect:
- With direct mentorship with the Founder, you will work on marketing strategy, new client pitches, pipeline management, OtterHalf social media account management.
- Increase sales through lead generation and market research
- Identifying projects and initiatives that can significantly grow the business
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of managing pipeline, including preparation of presentations and materials
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
- Required to wrap up with a show and tell on what you did, what you learned, and recommendations on how OtterHalf can improve at the end of your internship
About the candidate:
- Aligned with our purpose that businesses have the power to contribute to a better world
- An interest in the tech space in general
- Good communication (verbal, prose, PowerPoint) and influencing skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
- Appetite for learning and being comfortable with uncertainty
- Numerically inclined, with the ability to draw insights from historical data to make informed decisions
- Experience in B2B sales or business development in a marketing agency previously is a plus
Contract Terms
- 4-6 months full-time from Feb 2024.
- Flexible internship hours (min 25 hours per week) can be discussed
- Only applicants based in Singapore will be considered
