Our Learning Lodge is a registered community-focused social enterprise. With the trend of rising dual-income families, we are concerned with the increasing number of latchkey children. Our Learning Lodge is a drop-in centre, which engages the latchkey children in meaningful after-school activities. It serves as an alternative space for the children to drop by and spend their time in a structured manner.
The teaching position requires candidates to take up responsibilities in teaching, lesson development and classroom management. New teachers will be mentored and training will be provided.
Specializations include (please indicate preference): English, Math and Science
Training will include:
Observation of senior teachers' lessons/disciplinary techniques
Co-teaching a class with a senior teacher
Routine feedback on teaching performance
Lesson preparation
Interns will be introduced to:
Teach a class of students
Prepare lesson material, tests and lesson plans
Revise course books and provide feedback
Plan students' curriculum
Handle class discipline
