We built chatbots that can conduct qualitative market research at scale. Market research is a 45 billion dollar industry - Companies like Spotify, Grab and GoJek pay market researchers to interview consumers and find critical insights. This is time consuming, expensive and unscalable. Our solution eliminates the need for human researchers and uses conversational bots over Facebook Messenger to conduct these interviews. Here's a demo : https://youtu.be/uMOVfounl5k
Our CTO is a Stanford University Computer Science graduate who has built chatbots which have 1.2 million users ( 300k daily active users ). We're incubated at Entrepreneur First in Singapore ( 32 Carpenter Street ) and have raised a pre-seed funding round.
This is a job posting for a software developer. Please don't apply if you don't code everyday
They key to conducting thorough research is asking good follow up questions. Eg.
Q. Why do you like Ice Tea ?
A. I like Ice Tea because it feels like a light drink I can drink without the caffeine buzz and its inexpensive , I can brew it myself.
Q. Why don't you like the caffeine buzz ?
A. Caffeine gets me really charged up and upsets my stomach.
Q. Does ice tea ever get you charged up ?
You can see that to find real information, you have to ask at least three relevant follow up questions. That is the intelligence we're trying to build into our chatbots.
We're looking for someone who'd like to work on this NLP challenge - Given a market research objective, how to ask relevant follow up questions given a response. We'd like you to have complete autonomy on this project. If your work is good, it'll go straight to production, with opportunities for full time work in the future. If that sounds like an interesting problem , drop me an email!
