Pace is developed by a founding team of seasoned serial entrepreneurs and operators. The CEO of the company has founded 3 startups (with successful exits) across Silicon Valley and Asia. Backed by one of the largest venture capital firms from Southeast Asia, the company is headquartered in Singapore.
As a business development intern at Pace, you’ll be responsible for building a strong support network for Merchants and Partners, with a focus on Payment solutions that drive sales. The position will be based in Singapore, but as a part of the starting team, there’ll be a huge potential for growth opportunities and strong mentorship from a team of seasoned startup professionals.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Be the spirit and voice of Pace, by representing the company’s benefits and offerings to the wider market
- Be out meeting merchants and partners, this is not a desk-bound internship which confines you to the office and your laptop screen
- Contribute to Pace’s employee culture, by bringing individuality and diversity to the company
- Work with the business development team to implement projects that value add to the experience of our merchants and partners
- Work cross-functionally within Pace, to provide feedback about customer needs, in order to drive future product development - Direct outreach to potential Merchants and Partners, in order to take on key brands that will benefit from Pace’s offerings
- Develop customised proposals that help articulate Pace’s benefits, and drive sales for Merchants and Partners
- Develop, plan, and monitor Pace’s category sales pipeline, and plan initiatives to both build pipeline activity, and encourage transactions
- Work directly with CEO / senior management of the company to implement ideas
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a demonstrable bias towards action and execution
- Interested in businesses, e-commerce, sales, and marketing strategies & activities is a plus but not a must
- Enjoys high-growth environments, and approaches challenges with a growth mindset
- Has a basic grasp of the payments industry (if you ever made a purchase by scanning a QR code is counted)
- Looking for a high-growth environment, with a lot of room to experiment and grow in a self-direct manner
- Loves finding hacks to achieve goals
- Minimum commitment of 3 months
- No experience required, but must fulfil the above points
